In supporting teaching gardens in the local area and in communities across the U.S., the Goodcents Foundation will continue to develop sustainable educational programs. These community teaching gardens demonstrate and educate where our food comes from, how we can grow our own food and how all of nature works together in an ecosystem.
The Goodcents Foundation is currently partnering with the KCK Organic Teaching Gardens. Founded in 1999 and located at seven area schools, these raised bed gardens were inspired by Missouri-born botanist and agriculture experimentalist George Washington Carver. Executive Director Stacy Glazer works with Mark Manning, who conducts over 300 teaching workshops annually in a robust curriculum.
